Island Kine Snacks was born from a simple feeling — missing home.

While being stationed around the world in the military, I often found myself far from Hawai‘i. No matter where I was — the mainland or overseas — I couldn’t find the snacks I grew up with.

Every care package from home made my week. Inside were the flavors of Hawai‘i — furikake, crack seed, mochi crunch, chocolates, and other local favorites. Those boxes weren’t just snacks. They were comfort. Connection. A reminder of home.

I always shared them with friends — and they loved them just as much as I did.

That’s how Island Kine Snacks started.
